Philadelphia, PA (November 13, 2021) – On Saturday, November 13th at 12p, Bookwell Travel along with their partners will donate 150,000 meals to those in need. This will include homeless, hungry Veterans in the area, military members that are living under the poverty line, as well as those who are less fortunate.

This journey will begin at The VFW of New London, 110 Garfield Ave, New London, CT on November 10th at noon. Owner and founder Brian Gates will be running to the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz (Philadelphia) VA Medical Center located at 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA. This will be a 241-mile run that will be completed in a feat of 60 hours. The purpose of the run is to raise awareness of the homelessness and food insecurity that our Veterans, Active Duty Military, and all Americans are facing daily. “

We are an online booking platform that puts feeding the hungry first. Coming together for our 5-year mission for not only Veterans that are hungry and homeless but every American that is facing food insecurity and homelessness,” said Brian Gates. “Bookwell Travel was founded with a mission to fight the hunger crisis in America. Starting with homeless veterans, and active military living in poverty. Once and for all given homelessness and food insecurity the pink slip.” This food donation in Philadelphia, PA marks the continuous effort of Bookwell Travel’s national campaign to feed the hungry in every state in the United States by partnering directly with companies and individuals that are like-minded and have an unrelenting passion to give back to those in need.

Bookwell Travel has donated meals to community organizations in Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, South Carolina, and Georgia with plans to continue to give 20 meals for each night booked on until each American is housed and feed. “I have completed 18 runs across the United States so far this year.

As I was running, I was noticing the number of homeless Veterans that are on our streets. I made it my mission to put an end to this. Partnering with Craig Henzel seemed like a natural fit as his fight is to end Veteran homelessness is a shared passion” Gates said.

“The book, Leadership from the Front Lines ( is about giving back to Veterans,” said Craig Henzel. “Net proceeds will go to solving the Veteran homeless crisis in the U.S., so being able to team up with Bookwell Travel and align on this mission is what makes this partnership so strong.” They will be joined by Team RWB who’s mission is to enrich Veterans’ lives across the country for the donation too.
