Bookwell Travel continues its 16million meal donation campaign

Savannah, GA (February 23, 2021) – On Saturday, February 27th, Bookwell Travel will donate 50,000 meals to Feed the Hungry at their Empowerment Center at 4704 Augusta Rd. in Savannah, GA as part of the next phase in its national launch. Leading up to the donation, Bookwell Travel founder Brian Gates will run for 12 hours, starting just after midnight from the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, a local hospitality venue that supports Bookwell Travel’s philanthropic mission, to raise awareness of the 12 hours of hunger that families can face when food support runs out. Gates is expected to arrive at Feed the Hungry at noon on Saturday.

The food donation in Savannah, Georgia marks the start of Bookwell Travel’s national campaign to feed the hungry in every state in the United States by partnering directly with community food organizations like Feed the Hungry.

To date, Bookwell Travel has donated more than 300,000 meals to community organizations in Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont with plans to donate 16 million meals to organizations fighting food insecurity by the end of the year.
